Kari BrowningBlog, Prophetic Words

I read a prophecy in 1991 that so energized me that I got out of bed, quickly threw on some clothes, and drove to my sister-in-law’s house to share it with her.

The prophecy was by James Ryle and it was called “Sons of Thunder.” As I drove that night, it began to thunder in the natural and we witnessed an incredible lightning storm that I believe was a sign confirming the word.

The God of glory thunders, the Lord thunders over the mighty waters….The voice of the Lord strikes with flashes of lightning…(Psalms 29:3,7,)

In a series of three dreams about 30 years ago, James Ryle was shown a “new sound” coming forth. He heard, “I’m about to release a new kind of song in the streets. It will bring a revelation of the truth and it will usher men into my presence.”

In one of the dreams, he saw a power amplifier that had become dusty in a church equipment room. He realized it was the power amp that the Beatles had used. James wrote, “The anointing the Lord is about to release on music is going to sweep the world in a manner like the Beatles did when they first came out. It’s going to be a music that is new in kind, new in sound, arresting in its content; it will stop traffic, and it will turn men’s heads and capture their hearts.”

He saw music being taken to the streets like the Salvation Army of old and it bringing a worldwide move of the Spirit of God.

I believe this is a NOW word because of some prophetic experiences I had while in the United Kingdom recently.

I was at a small prayer meeting in Bangor, Ireland, very close to where St. Patrick had heard the voices of angels in a celestial choir. He named it the “Valley of Angels” and later, a famous monastery was established nearby that offered continual praise to God for almost 200 years.

At that prayer meeting in Bangor, I heard the “new sound” that I’ve been waiting for coming from a humble worship leader who has the heart of David.

According to Jewish tradition, King David was born and died on Pentecost. I believe we are living in a time where we are going to experience what was experienced on Pentecost in Acts 2. They were gathered together in unity when a sound was both seen and heard, and it caused them to feel drunk and speak in a heavenly language.

It’s time for “the Sons of Thunder” to be revealed and the “new sound” to be released in the nations.
